The Sweetheart Ribbed Top knitting pattern is the perfect summer basic knit top. With the signature sweetheart neckline, this so great to wear out and about everyday, especially if you live in those warmer climates.

Construction

The pattern is worked from the bottom up, in the round, working in 2x2 rib. Once the desired length is achieved, short rows are worked to shape the neckline. Live sts are kept on hold for the straps and seamed together using a 3 needle bind off.

Gauge

28 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in 2x1 Rib, on 3.75 mm [US 5] needles.

Suggested Needles

• 3.75 mm [US 5] circular needles 32/40 inches / 80/100 cm/ or size to obtain gauge.

Suggested Yarn

For this pattern I used Fingering weight yarns helps double. Alternatively you can use a Light DK weight yarn held single. Samples made in size XS.

• Sample 1 made in size XS with Hobbii Unicorn Solids (fingering, 75% superwash merino, 25% polyamide, 400 metres/437 yds), fingering weight yarn held double. If you decide to use this yarn, 1 (2) 2 (2) 2 (2) 3 (3) skeins are required.

• Sample 2 made with Prosper Yarn Sock Yarn (80% Merino Wool, 20% Nylon, 400 metres/437 yds, 50g) of fingering weight yarn held double.
