The Lost Shorts is a textured pair of shorts with a retro knit rib. It is the perfect summer knitting pattern, with a creative way to add a handmade touch to your summer wardrobe.. Make a set with other patterns in the Lost Series.

The Lost Shorts is a high waisted short, worked from the top down, in the round, beginning with the waistband and then working down the hips. Stitches are then split for the legs, with customisable options to make as cheeky or modest as preferred.

This pattern uses techniques such as: 2x1 rib, increases and decreases, short rows, stretchy bind off.

Gauge

28 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in 2x1 Rib, on 3.25 mm [US 3] needles.

Materials

Suggested Needles

• 3.25 mm [US 3] circular needles 40, 80/100 cm/ 16, 32/40 inches or size to obtain gauge.
• 2.75 mm [US 2] circular needles for the waistband and hem.

Suggested Yarn

Fingering weight yarn. Samples made in size XS.

• Pink sample made with Cascade Heritage Solids (fingering 75% Merino Wool 25% Nylon, 400metres/437 yds, 100g) of fingering weight yarn held single.
