Jumping on that vest bandwagon, who's with me? The Friday Vest is a retro inspired piece, mostly from me jumping on the nostalgia train and binge watching too many of my favourite 90's movies/shows again.

The Friday Vest is worked top down with little seaming! Starting with the back and working to armhole before placing on stitch holders. The fronts are picked up separately before joining and working down to armhole shaping, then the piece is joined in the round before ribbing at the hem. The neck is picked up and worked in the round and seamed. The armholes are worked with a crochet hook in a contrasting colour.

This pattern uses techniques such as: knit, purl, 1x1 ribbing, working in the round, top down knitting, seamless knitting, folded edges, crochet edge.

Gauge

8 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch, on 12 mm [US 17] needles.

Suggested Needles

• 10 mm [US 15] circular needles, 16, 32/40 inches / 40, 80/100 cm. for the neck, hem and cuffs. (metal circular needles 16, 32/40 inches)
• 12 mm [US 17] circular needles 32/40 inches / 80/100 cm, or size to obtain gauge. (metal circular needles 32/40 inches)
• 10 mm Crochet Hook

The pattern uses WATG Crazy Sexy Wool and WAK The Wool.
