Summer Lace Wavy Cami
The Summer Lace wavy Cami knitting pattern is designed from the beautiful vintage feather and fan lace design. The lace is worked seamlessly from the bottom up and creates a delicate wavy texture that is perfect for the warm summer days.

Suggested Yarn
You can use any fibre you prefer though I like cottons or merino wools for summer knits! I think a bamboo would look really great with this pattern also as it will have a lovely drape.

-
Stitch markers

Yarn Needle for weaving in ends.

Knitting Barber or Stitch Holder to place stitches on hold.
Gauge
Work a gauge swatch by casting on 36 stitches and working in the 4 row repeat. Even though the majority of the pattern is worked in the round, I found working the swatch flat didn’t affect the final gauge.
CO 36 stitches
Row 1 (RS): knit all stitches.
Row 2 (WS): purl all stitches.
Row 3 (RS): *k2tog, (yo, k1), k2tog*, repeat from * to * to the end of the row.
Row 4 (WS): knit all stitches
5.5 inches / 14 cm wide after blocking. Row gauge is not as important for this pattern as you work to your desired length.
Abbreviations:
k - knit
p - purl
RS - Right side
WS - Wrong side
BOR - Beginning of round.
YO - yarn over increase
sl1kwyib - slip the next stitch knit wise with the working yarn in the back.
k2tog - knit the next 2 stitches together.
ssk - slip, slip, knit; slip the next stitch knit wise, slip the next stitch purl wise, knit those 2 stitches together through the back loop.
cm - centimeters
Measurements
Final Garment measurements
Bust: 22 (27.5, 33, 38.5) {44, 49.5, 55} [60.5, 66, 71.5] inches /
56 (70, 84, 98) {111.75, 125.75, 139.75} [153, 167.75, 181.75} cm.
Length: 11 inches / 28 cm
Size Guide
The Summer Lace Knit is intended to be worn with an ease of approximately -2 - 3 inches / -5 - 7.5 cm at the bust. The sizes are based on a bust circumference of approximately:
24-26 (28-30, 32-34, 36-38) {40-42, 44-46, 48-50} [52-54, 56-58, 60-62] inches /
61-66, (71-76, 81-86, 91.5-96.5) {101.5-106.5, 111.5-117, 122-127} [132-137, 142-147, 152-157] cm.
Measure yourself before beginning to choose your desired size. For example: Your bust circumference is 36 inches, I suggest working a size M for 2.5 inches / 6.25 of positive ease, or size S for -3 inches / -7.5 cm of negative ease. Though the pattern is intended with 0 inches of ease, because of the stitch pattern being accommodating with some stretch, you can choose to size down 3-4 inches, though it will be more form fitted on the body.

PATTERN
Cast on 144 (180, 216, 252) {288, 324, 360} [396, 432, 468] sts using a long tail cast on, or any other preferred cast on, and join in the round. Place a Beginning of Round (BOR) marker.
Work the 4 row pattern in the round (meaning every round is a RS round). Place a marker every 18 stitches on Round 3 the first time, and slip the marker when you work on all subsequent rounds as follows:
Round 1: knit all stitches.
Round 2: knit all stitches.
Round 3: *k2tog, (YO, k1), k2tog*, repeat from * to * to the end of the row.
Round 4: purl all stitches.
Repeat Rounds 1 to Round 4 for a further 11 inches / 28.5 cm or for desired length. This will be the same length as the green sample. Working for more rows will require more yarn than in the yarn recommendations.
Bust Cups
When you’ve worked to the length you want, try on your top to see where to work the ‘cups’. The cups are 18 stitches where the pattern is (YO, k1) x3, k2tog x6, (YO, k1) x3. When you’ve chosen your sections, bind off all other stitches and keep one of your bust cups on a stitch holder while you work the other.
Shaping Cups
The cups will be worked back and forth as you shape them. You can follow the chart or the row counts as you work. Make 2.
Row 1 (RS): knit all stitches
Row 2 (WS): purl all stitches
Row 3 (RS): sl1kwyib, ssk, (YO, k1) x2, k2tog x4, (YO, k1) x2, k2tog, sl1kwyib. (2 stitches decreased)

Chart Decreases for Cups
Straps
You have 2 stitches remaining. Keep these stitches on the needle and begin working a 2 stitch i-cord.
*knit 2 stitches, transfer those 2 stitches back to your left needle*, repeat from * to * to your desired length (I suggest trying on).
Seam your straps down at the back edge.
Finishing
Wash and block per the instructions on your ball.
